Commercialisation - where to start?When you are faced with the task of taking your idea to market, from the very start, it can be quite daunting - by taking your idea and identifying the questions that surround it, NeQstep can build a programme to help you understand the challenges you will face. Collaboration & Building your TeamIt is unusual for any one person to have all the skills needed to take an idea from the concept stage and develop it for market, so one of the important parts of the commercialisation process is building a team. We have developed a network of passionate innovative professionals who can fill in the gaps, providing the expertise needed for your project to succeed.We also actively encourage collaboration, which is often an extremely effective way of taking a project forward. Obviously this route is not suited to every project or individual however experience has shown us that sharing the potential value of your project with a team able to contribute to the commercialisation process, can be tremendously rewarding.
Raising FundsHaving successfully raised funding for a number of projects to date, we are always willing to share our experience in this area and can work with you or on your behalf to submit funding applications. In the early stages, you may wish to consider the new Proof of Market Grant for Research & Development, administered by Finance South East - a successful application could contribute towards the cost of early studies including: identification of target markets, barriers to entry, market research and testing of USP, price points, identification of technical barriers, exploration of and IP protection routes.NeQstep can also help you ensure your project is 'investment ready' in which case we can work with you to build your business plan, and prepare for those all-important meetings with potential investors. |
